You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

The tall feather buti on this black top is a three-colour block print — red segmented scale markings, white central spine and white leaf base each applied from a separately carved block, layered in precise sequence on jet black cotton. The result is a motif with unusual depth for something so minimal in placement.

The white XO cross-and-circle bottom carries the same craft in a different vocabulary — a single geometric block pressed in crisp white on black, row by disciplined row.

The Making

Carve, Layer, Press, Align

Three separate blocks — one for each colour of the feather buti — each requiring precise registration on jet black cotton where any misalignment is immediately visible.

Three-Block Carving

Separate teak blocks are carved for the red segmented scale markings, the white central spine and the white leaf base — plus a fourth block for the white XO geometric bottom repeat.

Fabric Preparation

Jet black cotton khaddar is stretched flat on a padded printing table with precise registration guides before any ink touches the cloth.

Sequential Stamping

White spine first, red scale markings second, white leaf base third — each colour shade-dried before the next is applied. The XO bottom is stamped separately in white, row by precise row.

Drying & Setting

All pieces shade-dried then heat-set — permanently bonding white and red inks into the black cotton fibres across the full fabric length.
