Heritage & Craft
Berry on White. Dense. Flowing. Wax-Resist.
The dense floral vine on the white top is an authentic wax batik — hot wax drawn along every swirling stem, around every open daisy and onto every pointed leaf, before the fabric is submerged in deep berry dye. The waxed areas resist — preserving the white ground within each flower petal and along each vine stem.
The fine crackle lines across the berry areas — where cooled wax fractured and dye seeped through — are not a flaw. They are the fingerprint of real batik.
The Making
Wax, Dye, Crack, Reveal
Three separate craft techniques — wax batik for the top, block print buti for the bottom, and gradient tie-dye for the dupatta — each requiring different skills and tools.
Hot wax is drawn onto white cotton using a tjanting tool — tracing every daisy petal outline, swirl vine stem and pointed leaf motif by hand before dye immersion.
The waxed fabric is submerged in deep berry/wine dye — the wax resists the dye, preserving white within each flower petal and vine, while fine crackle lines form naturally as the wax cools and fractures.
The lavender bottom is block printed with a carved spiral snail-shell and scalloped border buti motif — each impression stamped in light white/lavender on the periwinkle ground.
The dupatta is dip-dyed — lavender from one end, deep berry from the other — the two colours bleeding naturally in the centre. The white batik border is then block printed onto the berry hem section.
Wear It Your Way
Soft Lavender. Deep Berry. Effortless Together.
The dense white and berry floral top is grounded by the calm lavender spiral bottom — the contrast is deliberate and beautiful. Berry and lavender are the same colour family at different depths, so they harmonise without matching.
The gradient dupatta picks up both tones — lavender at the drape, berry at the hem — tying the full look together in one flowing piece. Unstitched — tailored to your exact fit.
The Dupatta
Calm Lavender. Bold Berry. White Blooms at the Border.
The lavender body carries scattered white spiral buti — the same motif as the bottom fabric, creating a visual thread between all three pieces. As the fabric moves toward the hem, the colour deepens — lavender bleeding naturally into deep berry through a gradient tie-dye. At the berry hem, a bold dense white batik border unfolds: intricate floral vines, geometric forms and tribal motifs in crisp white — a border that demands attention.
