You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

The Making

Wax, Dye, Crack, Reveal

Two distinct wax batik patterns — wavy interlocking lines for the top, dense elongated ovals for the bottom — both demanding precise, repeatable hand control across the full fabric length.

Wax Drawing — Top

Hot wax is drawn onto indigo cotton using a tjanting tool — tracing each interlocking S-curve wave, dot cluster and scalloped border line in repeating horizontal bands.

Aqua Dye Resist

The waxed indigo fabric is dyed in aqua blue — wax resists where the wave pattern was drawn, leaving the lighter aqua tone visible against the deep indigo ground.

Oval Column Wax — Bottom

Vertical wax strips are applied in tight pointed-oval columns with fine internal stripe detail across the teal bottom fabric before the lighter aqua dye resist process.

Wax Removal & Setting

All pieces are boiled to remove wax, revealing the full tonal pattern — then heat-set to permanently bond the aqua blue into the indigo and teal cotton fibres.
