You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

The vertical white stripe on this top is not a plain resist — each stripe edge carries a fine scalloped or beaded border, like a rope of tiny dots running the full 2.5 metre length, giving an otherwise simple stripe a quiet handcrafted detail visible only up close. The teal ground between each stripe carries natural tie-dye cloud variation — no two sections identical.

The pinwheel motif on the bottom — four triangular petals forming a windmill — is resist-dyed individually on the same cloud-textured teal, scattered loosely for an airy, contemporary feel.

The Making

Wax the Stripe. Bind the Pinwheel. One Teal Palette.

Two resist techniques across three pieces — wax for the vertical scalloped-stripe top, shibori binding for the pinwheel bottom — united by the same teal and white palette.

Scalloped Stripe Wax — Top

Hot wax is applied in vertical strips with a scalloped-edge tool — the fine bead-like border detail on each stripe edge is created by the wax application tool's shaped tip, run the full 2.5 metre length in one continuous pass.

Teal Dye Bath — Top

The waxed fabric is submerged in teal dye — waxed areas resist, emerging as white stripes with their fine scalloped borders; the unwaxed teal ground takes the colour with natural cloud variation.

Pinwheel Resist — Bottom

Four-petal pinwheel forms are individually masked or folded and bound before the bottom fabric's teal dye bath — each white windmill loosely placed across the cloud-textured ground.

Fishbone Border — Hem

A continuous white fishbone or herringbone leaf vine is wax-printed at the top's hem, and repeated as the dupatta's border band — unifying the set's finishing line across all three pieces.
