You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

The dense floral vine on this indigo top is a multi-tone block print — dark indigo base, bright blue flowers and white-cream outlines each applied from a separately carved wooden block, layered in precise registration on the same cloth.

Indigo block printing is one of South Asia's oldest textile traditions. The depth of colour — navy, bright blue, cream — is achieved entirely through successive hand stamping, no machines involved.

The Making

Carve, Layer, Press, Bloom

Indigo block printing demands the darkest colour last — each layer shade-dried before the next is applied, building depth from light cream outlines to deep indigo fill.

Block Carving

Separate teak blocks are carved for each colour — marigold outline, petal fill, leaf scrolls and cream accent detail each requiring their own precise carving.

Fabric Preparation

Dark indigo and light mint cotton khaddar are washed and stretched flat on padded printing tables before any block touches the cloth.

Multi-Tone Stamping

Cream outline first, bright blue second, deep indigo last — each layer precisely aligned and shade-dried before the next colour is applied.

Drying & Setting

All three pieces are shade-dried then heat-set — permanently bonding every colour layer into the cotton fibres across the full fabric length.
