You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

The dense floral vine on this rust red fabric is a multi-colour block print — white, amber and blue flowers and leaves each applied from a separately carved wooden block, layered in precise registration on the same cloth.

This layering technique — printing one colour at a time, block over block — is one of the most demanding forms of South Asian block printing, and it is done entirely by hand.

The Making

Carve, Layer, Press, Repeat

Multi-colour block printing requires a separate carved block for each colour — the most demanding form of the craft, where precision of placement is everything.

Block Carving

Separate teak or sheesham blocks are carved for each colour — one for white petals, one for amber, one for the blue vine and leaves.

Fabric Preparation

Cotton khaddar is washed, lightly treated for colour absorption and stretched flat on the padded printing table.

Multi-Colour Stamping

Each block is inked and stamped in sequence — white first, amber second, blue third — each layer precisely aligned to build the full floral motif.

Drying & Setting

Printed fabric is shade-dried between each colour layer, then fully heat-set after the final colour to lock all inks permanently.
